Classic Days at Magny Cours is one of the best places to experience explosive historic racing in action.
This year was the 10th edition of Classic Days at Magny Cours, a successful historical motoring event that attracted more than 25,000 visitor to the historic racing circuit of Nevers Magny Cours. The circuit is located in the central region of France and was host to Formula One Grand Prix de France until 2008. This year, several category were proposed this year (60 ‘, 70’, 80 ‘, Monoplace and Prototype) for the two sunny weekend days of 29-30 April 2017.
Classic days at Magny Cours brings together a large number of cars from French and international historical heritage, as well as a great drivers such as Jean Pierre Jabouille, Jacques Laffite and Henri Pescarolo.
Under the light, festive atmosphere, general public can get up close to the vehicles in the garages. This year saw an exhibition that celebrated 40-years of Renault in Formula 1. It was particularly great as one could witness all the great Formula one cars made by Renault at one place. The RS01, which participated in the Formula 1 championship in 1977, was shown on the track led by Jean Pierre Jabouille. Henri Pescarolo on the other hand, fired the incredible V12 of the Matra F1 for a demonstration which was absolutely fantastic.
