These motorcycles were capable of hitting speeds in excess of 180kmph and had 650cc twin cylinder two-stroke carbureted engines. The SS in the Norton 650SS nomenclature stood for ‘Sports Special’ and these motorcycles were widely considered to be the best of the Norton Dominator motorcycles.
