1966 Ford GT40 Travelling Through France At Tour Auto 2017
It’s time to get back on the road after a long cold winter in Europe. As racing and rally events line up across the continent in bulk, the 2017 edition of Tour Auto Optic 2000 took cars that own a special place in motoring on a 5-day grand tour across the country. This here is a 1966 Ford GT40 straddling through the France as it comes across historic racing circuits and beautiful country roads.
This particular 1966 Ford GT40 is quite a famous in the European classic car scene. The car is believed to be owned by James Cottingham who has been previously seen racing it at the Donington Circuit, Silverstone, Goodwood Revival and also at last year’s Tour Auto Optic 2000.
Apart from the 1966 Ford GT40 that you see here, this year’s Tour Auto also saw Coldplay’s bass guitarist Guy Berryman soaking in the French countryside in his Dino 246 GT. Be sure to check back as we would be rolling out lot more photos from the 5-day French grand tour.
