The road going car was further put on an even more stringent diet, where the kerb weight of the car was reduced down to just 740kg. With its 1600cc engine tweaked to give out 170bhp, the Sprint GTA was a rather special machine which indeed today has become one of the most desired Alfa Romeos of all time. This one here was ordered new in Germany for a gentleman racer who would would race it through the early and mid eighties throughout Germany and would continue its competition legacy.
