2017 Toyota GT86 Arrives With Track Mode
The 2017 version of Toyota’s lovely little sports car, the Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S for those living in United States) has arrived in the UK. The car would be available for sale at UK showrooms starting October 2016.
The Toyota GT86 for 2017 comes with a series of updates that include a revised driver cockpit that now features a small-diameter steering wheel, new TFT multi-information display that will now show new performance data options including power and torque curves, a stopwatch and G-force monitor. The 2017 Toyota GT86 also gets a revised chassis that according to Toyota is stronger, stiffer and boasts retuned suspensions.
One of the biggest changes yet to the 2017 Toyota GT86 is the inclusion of Track Mode. This new mode allows the driver to adjust the car’s stability control and traction control. If required, drivers can choose to turn off the systems completely too, for, you know, better slides and other fun stuff the 197bhp, 2.0-litre engine is capable of.
The 2017 Toyota GT86 will be available in UK in two models – GT86 and GT86 Pro with similar engine specifications but differences in trim. The Pro model will feature Alcantara upholstery, heated front seats, leather driver armrest and a suede-effect finish on the dashboard and door trims. The car will also be offered with a rear spoiler to add to it’s ‘sporty appeal’. Below are the prices for the 2017 model range.
