If you always thought that the creativity of Czech Republic-based Unique & Limited was heads and heels above everyone else’s artwork, but had to cringe at the fact that the prices of their products where quite the bombshell too, the company has just launched a new division by the name of Automobilist that promises to carry the tradition of gorgeous artworks that we have all known to love, yet making them more approachable and affordable to everyone.
In the world of curated automotive art today, Unique & Limited needs no introductions. These guys are the best out there when it comes to creating and re-creating automotive artwork and historic moments of motoring by painstakingly research, CGI and cutting-edge printing technology. One look at their recreation of James Hunt’s McLaren at the 1976 Japanese Grand Prix is enough to understand the incredible process their artwork goes from brainstorming to production. For creating one artwork, Unique & Limited had invited Hunt’s son, Freedie to re-enact the moment at their studio. The results of this strenuous exercise are clear though once you have a look at “Hunting for Victory“, where the level of detailing and realism are beyond anyone’s expectations (honestly I don’t think it can get any better than this).
With that said, Automobilist transitions from art towards towards a more holistic approach towards art-focused motoring culture. Apart from the top-notch high-quality automotive posters that they have on sale, the brand also brings books, collector’s edition items and lots more. From their collection of automobilia that’s currently on sale, one specific collection caught our attention. A series of posters that pay tribute to motorsport’s greatest racing events, which also happens to be an upcoming one – The 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Like the previous merchandise from Unique & Limited, all the Automobilist 24 Hours of Le Mans posters are limited edition prints that are created with high levels of details and are printed on the highest quality paper. The 24 Hours of Le Mans posters collection features the cars that left their mark at the historic endurance race, cars like the Ferrari 250 GTO, Porsche 917 and the Ford GT40. While the Automobilist posters are much more affordable as compared to the products from Unique & Limited, the production process still remains the same, where the team researches extensively on each car and its history before re-creating them in CGI to ensure the highest levels of accuracy.
