Steam engine, at least to me, it is a concept that brings back childhood memories for so many reasons. One of which is the steam blowing out of the exhaust of locomotive, another reason is the time when the heat engine used steam as its primary fuel, well obviously! I also remember the time when I used to go to these museums where so many beautiful, creative, unbelievably so-small scale models of locomotives and different types of engines were on display. I always wished to have access to one of these, not to play just look around from the outside like a ‘Gulliver’.
That brings us to a point to imagine a scale model of a locomotive which is not that hard but how about a scales model of a steam engine made out of glass. Yes! Glass! A masterclass glass blower from Czech Republic going by the name Steamglass has made this beautiful scale model of a steam engine which is not only made out of glass but has it working with all the parts like crankshaft, piston, and the counter weight. The same also incorporates a steam exhaust system which gives way to the steam coming out of the snug fit piston in the cylinder. Sounds amazing and new, isn’t it? Click here to see how it works.
