The latest limited edition special of the gentleman’s supercar has just been unveiled at the ongoing Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in the form of the stunning Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato which you can admire in these pictures here. This car is a continuation of the long-standing collaboration between the British supercar maker Aston Martin and the Italian design house Zagato and will be unveiled at this prestigious event following the grand unveil of the 2011 V12 Zagato that happened at the same event. However, this all-new Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato takes the game further from the 2011 model with a comprehensive list of equipment that makes this car the most luxurious Aston Martin build to this date.
Designed by the collaborating duo of Andrea Zagato, CEO, Zagato and chief exterior designer at Aston Martin, Miles Nurnberger, this Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato project was overseen by design director Marek Reichman. As it was expected, the entire bodywork of the car has been produced from one piece carbon fiber panels signalling impressive weight saving owing to the lack of split lines that need filling up. All this manufacturing excellence makes this Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato that has 600bhp on tap much lighter than the car it is based on and hence able to boast a much better power to weight ratio. On the looks front, this car is exactly what we have come to expect from the house of Zagato, a gorgeous flawless car design that still manages to look proper aggressive and menacing while at the same time following a design path that these Aston Martin-Zagato special editions took from the first ever collaboration between the two companies in 1960, the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato.
Every design detail of the new Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato showcases the cars aggressive intent such as a huge front grille complemented by an elaborate front overhang, while the rear wings show off a proud bulge while the deploy-able spoiler adds to the car’s sporty soul. Since the car is a Zagato, it is obvious that it will have the trademark Zagato double bubble roof and it just looks brilliant on this Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato. From the Aston Martin perspective, the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato find its major influence from the DB11 that we loved a lot and a few design elements are reminiscent of the Aston Martin One-77 such as the mirrors and rear end while the Vulcan influence is clearly visible in the Led tail lights among others.
The gorgeous design philosophy continues for the interiors of the car as well where the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato gets aniline leather upholstery designed in a pattern that classic Z shape. While in a true class of craftsmanship, the car’s interior brightwork gets bronze metallic quoting exuding elegance while knurled aluminum is used for the switch-gear.
