Automotive legend Caroll Shelby has left behind a legacy that is bespoke to the great man. His pursuit for speed and performance brought out some stunning machines from both the Ford and Mopar stables. What you see here are 24 cars from the late racer and car designer’s personal collection that are scheduled for auction at the Bonhams Greenwich Concours d’Elegance. Highlighting the sale are cars like the 1969 Shelby GT 500 that he acquired from fellow car enthusiast and Academy Award nominated actor Jackie Cooper Jr., alongside Shelby’s own 1999 Shelby 1 Series chassis no.0001. There’s also a modern 2011 Shelby Cobra CSX 8027 that was for his own version of his CSX 8000-series of modern Cobras, alongside a 1935 Chrysler Airflow Sedan that he reportedly acquired from Steve McQueen.
