Classic Recreations has serious intentions of presenting customers with a classic-styled machine that has proper modern performance. What you see here is a Mustang that ticks all the right boxes when it comes to its styling. The reason being that the body is actually from a 1967 Mustang Fastback that has undergone a complete restoration and then topped off with show-winning paint. Under the hood, the Shelby GT500CR gets a complete overhaul that include Shelby Performance Parts, fitted to the 427 C.I (7.0-litre) Crate engine that now produces a whopping 545 horsepower that’s transferred to the road via a Tremec manual transmission.
To ensure that the retro-styled machine is able to reign in the power, Classic Recreations have upgraded everything from rack and pinion steering to bigger brakes and race-inspired suspensions that ensure that all the available horsepower isn’t just restricted to a straight road. And just in case you think that 545 horsepower is too subtle, Classic Restoration also provides an option to upgrade the engine with a supercharger that will take the power output up to 670 mad mad horses. What a beast! Head over to Classic Recreations for more. Photos via Classic Recreations.
