Ducati’s new entry-level hipster-machine, the Scrambler has been doing wonders to the company’s sales. In April Ducati delivered 7,309 new bikes to customers in the UK, driving record sales up the roof with a massive 29% year-on-year increase in numbers.
In Italy, the new Scrambler, once again has come out on top as the highest selling motorcycle increasing the overall motorcycle sales in the country by an incredible 69%.
These new metric not just make the new Scrambler the bestseller for Ducati, but also gets the company in the top-three highest selling motorcycles in the UK. The Scrambler with an impressive 935 bikes delivered in the UK this year, now trails only behind the Yamaha MT-09 Tracer (1,203) and the mighty R1200GS (1,302) motorcycles. And there is still quite a bit more promise from Ducati with the Scrambler as wait times reduce and production comes to pace with the orders, these numbers are sure to increase.
The Ducati Scrambler has been introduced by Ducati as their entry-level motorcycle and is available in four different variants namely, Icon, Urban Enduro, Classic and Full Throttle. While all the models differ in their styling and choice of accessories, they all boast the same 803 cc L-Twin which is air-cooled and produces 75 bhp power and 68 Nm of torque.
