Vitesse AuDessus contrary to what the name might suggest is a American car tuning company based out of Bethesda, Maryland. The company’s motive as their name translates in english “Speed Above” is to create faster and lighter version of existing hyper- and supercars that are made out of an overkill of exotic materials.
Apart from their offerings to create carbon fibre versions of cars from Lamborghini, McLaren, Bentley, Aston Martin and Buggati, the company also creates lighter versions of Ferraris. This one here is a lightened version of the Ferrari F12 TDF which was recently launched. Vitesse provides a full carbon fibre body conversion along with lightweight alloy wheels, also made in carbon fibre.
With this conversion, the Ferrari F12 TDF which weighs about 3,119 pounds(1,414 kg) from the company gets reduced by a massive 350 pounds (159 kg) to a new light weight of just 2,769 pounds (1256 kg). And the addition of super- lightweight carbon fibre wheels means that the unsprung weight of the car reduces considerably meaning a considerable difference in the performance and accelerations.
Vitesse AuDessus will also offer these special carbon fibre treatments for the latest cars such as the Porsche 918 Spyder, Bugatti Veyron and the insane looking Ferrari LaFerrari. While AuDessus has not disclosed any prices publicly on their website (cause every customisation is different and bespoke in options) but we expect each of them to be in the mid six-figures sums.
