Albert Weishäupl has refreshed the Cafe Racer concept with this Honda CX500 Cafe Racer build by AW Classics through a project called ‘Güllepumpe’. It had been a while since we introduced another Honda CX500 transformation into a café racer after the previous builds that we showcased, like the one from Roast Moto, by Sacha Lakic and Nozem. However, this Honda CX500 Cafe Racer build by AW Classics definitely stands out in its own unique way, apart from the rest thanks to its makers who come from Austria and bring a fresh new prospective to customisation when it comes to classic motorcycles such as the CX500 here.Vonzeti who design and manufacture specialising in high-quality cafe racer products for one’s custom build, bought the man hours down to 250 for the ‘Güllepumpe’ project. That included small modifications like honing to the earlier corrosive cylinder bore of the engine, eventually increasing the final power output thanks to the big bore piston, modified camshafts and two new 36mm Dellorto carburettors. Speaking of which, the exterior of the engine was immaculately detailed using pearl blast technology plus powder coating while the cylinder heads received a luster-black coat of paint.
