The iconic Jeep silhouette is among the most recognized automotive designs in the world. Made immortalised by the images of its pre- and post-war history, the brand has earned a reputation of being a rugged machine that can withstand anything. The MB, 75 years ago was the first ever model that ventured into to the battle field. Three quarters of a century hence, Jeep has achieved an undeniable legendary status since the time Willys-Overland acquired permission to use ‘Jeep’ name as a registered trademark. However, the reason behind why the name Jeep originated is still a point of debat, but its said that it originated from the Military designation GP (Government/General Purpose) that eventually slurred into Jeep.

The brand has, since those early days become a synonym to the words freedom and adventure. In fact adventure and tough as hell attributed have been the part of company’s DNA ever since. Who can forget the iconic MB and the CJ-2A that showcased just how simple, yet capable an off-road vehicle can ever be. The core trait of of the Jeep has carried on all the way into its latest 2016 Wrangler 75th Anniversary Edition.
