Cosy Up Your Love in this Land Rover Compact Cabin this Christmas
Land Rover knows exactly why we buy errr.. Land Rover’s, because we hate mankind and want to go to a place where there is no one to disturb us, except for maybe the love of our lives, that sort of human is nice company. Now that the truth is out there, and the sheer capabilities of something like the Land Rover Discovery known throughout the planet fairly known, let’s see how Land Rover wants us to celebrate this Christmas. Yes, it wants us to cosy up in a tiny little cabin designed by its engineers. This cabin can be easily fitted inside your Discovery Sport and can be transported to wherever you like because the SUV can go basically anywhere you can imagine and then to places you cannot.
Interestingly, this cabin has enough space for two adults and can withstand temperatures as low as -200 C. Thus, you can basically head up to north-pole and relieve Santa with the pains of traveling and get your gift without any transport related breakage. To create this beautiful cabin, the engineers at Land Rover used the absolute versatility the Discovery Sport’s cabin provides. They used the 1698 litre real loading space to make sure the wooden components of the cabin stayed safe and tight. They even took services of the innumerable storage places in the cars interiors as well. Everything from the glove box, cup holders, and door bins were filled with nuts, bolts and even festive decorations to impress Santa.
As thorough the blokes at land Rover have always been, the cabin was first designed as a virtual model to cover every inch of the Discovery Sport’s luggage and storage space. Then Land Rover took services of Danish architects LUMO to build the cabin using sustainable materials. Land Rover understandably wanted to have a minimal impact on the environment with this effort. This means that this wooden cabin’s 212mm wooden struts exactly match the Discovery Sport’s ride height. Going further, the cabin has been designed to share more than a few features with Discovery models. You also get an optional tailgate seat on the deck of your cabin. Land Rover says that the wide horizontal door opening took inspiration from the iconic SUV’s panoramic roof. Needless to say, just like the panoramic roof, these doors will be a way to epic scenery and landscape views.
Since the whole effort wanted itself to be sustainable and environmentally moral, there is a solar charger that has been installed on the roof while lights and a kettle can be connected to the Discovery Sport’s 12V power socket. Neat, smart and beautiful, just like the Discovery Sport itself. Land Rover knows that they have created something amazing and will be using the cabin in their ongoing partnerships and events over the next few years. Expect to see this Compact Christmas Cabin by Land Rover to make appearances through the company’s network of Land Rover Experience centres.
We hope Land Rover gives the engineers who created this amazing concept cabin a decent holiday which they are clearly craving for. And as for you who would like to head out into the middle of now-where with this cabin and that special someone, do remember Santa does not like it when you are naughty and also a minor fact that Land Rover has sold more than 100,000 Discovery Sport models in 2016 itself. Thus, we fairly sure you will find many other people wherever you go, just like you in search of some peace this Christmas. But isn’t this the whole idea of Christmas, to share love, happiness, and warmth with the known and the strangers alike?
