McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division has showcased their first model at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’elegance, called the 570S Coupe. Only two of these bespoke cars will be ever made. The 570S Coupe features a limited ‘mauvine’ blue paint finish while the interior is finished in carbon black leather with coordinated detailing that continues the exterior colour to the inside.
Powering the 570S Coupe is the same 3.8-litre V8 engine that produces 562 bhp of power and 443 lb-ft of torque, enough to propel the machine from standstill to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds and go all the way to a ballistic 328 kmph.
The McLaren Special Operations division was launched at the Pebble Beach Concours d’elegance in 2011 to provide special customisation and bespoke personalization to their cars for their customers. The MSO operates with 5 sub-divisions, MSO Defined, MSO Bespoke, MSO Limited, MSO Heritage and MSE Programmes. From these programs, McLaren offers a wide range of personalization options for their car’s interiors as well as exteriors in terms of trims, material options, paint options. Also a part of the division’s offerings comes a customised 24-carat-gold heat shielding around the engine bay, inspired from the famous McLaren F1 car.
