Guy Martin is one of the best motorcycle racers to have come out of Britain in recent years. A serious competitor at road racing, Martin has been one of the most serious challengers at the Isle of Man TT since his debut in 2004. This year, the 15-times TT podium finisher will race alongside 23-times TT champion John McGuinness at the 2017 Isle of Man TT aboard the Honda Racing CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2.
Martin suffered a serious injury during the 2015 Ulster Grand Prix. The 35-year old racer was operated for five broken vertebrae, five broken ribs, two broken metacarpals on his right hand and also a broken sternum. Even after such a scary incident, Martin returned to challenge world records in 2016 at the Bonneville Salt Flats aboard the Triumph Rocket III Streamliner.
This video takes us back to 2014 when Guy Martin was competing at the Tourist Trophy on his Tyco Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle. The onboard footage from Guy Martin Tyco Suzuki takes him through the 23-mile long TT course at speeds in excess of 200mph as he chases down Michael Dunlop’s BMW. This here is one of the finest laps of the Isle of Man TT and it shows why the race is the world’s most feared motorsport event ever.
