Piaggio group is quite massive. Under the group, brands like Aprilia, Derbi, Gilera, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Vespa, Scarabeo reside, apart from commercial vehicles. For such an incredible lineup of tastefully designed beauties on two-wheels, a lifestyle lounge is indeed a great idea that displays the company’s most prized creations.
The new Motoplex City Lounge, opened near Duomo in Milan is not a place for direct sales, like a dealership, but it’s a place where admirers of these brands can gather and indulge themselves with fine Italian craftsmanship over some drinks.
The Motoplex pays homage to the iconic 130-year old Italian group. While not all the group’s brands are on display, the latest from Moto Guzzi, Vespa, Aprilia and Piaggio scooters and motorcycles can be spotted from large glass facades. Some of the vehicles include the Guzzi California and V7II along with the Vespa 946 and Spring. From Piaggio, there is the MP3 scooter and Sylvian Guintoli’s Number 50 RSV4 that he rode this year (and won the championship on) in the WSBK.
Alongside motorcycles and scooters is a path made out of objects and accessories with animation and videos playing on either side of the display area. The guests can also surf the internet on specially made tables, on which they can find out more about the latest products available from the group’s brands and also have a look at accessories that can be ordered.
