A Look Into The Porsche Rennsport Reunion V

Porsche enthusiasts’ beyond compare passion was all over Monterey’s Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca which drew more than 100,000 eyeballs to watch Porsche Rennsport Reunion V, live! Over 50 legendary Porsche drivers and engineers came together with more than 75 Le Mans specific and significant models to celebrate “Porsche at Le Mans” and the most recent 17th overall victory this past June 2015. With over 1,400 Porsche streetcars in 20 different corrals, wisdom was obvious to get flabbergasted at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion V.
All weekend, fans not only rubbed shoulders with a well-decorated lineup of Porsche drivers from current to past like Porsche Factory Drivers: Patrick Long, Jörg Bergmeister, Mark Webber; but also experienced an event like no other; for there was ‘Rev Limiter Zone’ which provided enthusiasts, 18 years and older with unprecedented access to the race track just a few feet away from the high-speed start/finish straight. While 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans winning pair of Earl Bamber and Nick Tandy were making hot laps on the famous Laguna Seca racetrack which was then followed by celebrations, Porsche racing icons, Jacky Ickx, Hurley Haywood, Vic Elford, Derek Bell and others were on-hand to push the boat out for recent Le Mans victory, the record 17th overall.
Dedicated photographers were assigned for capturing more than two decades worth of images which was mainly focused on since 1950’s through today with each lending their own distinctive style to chronicle what makes Rennsport unlike any other gathering in the world.
