While the man who was responsible for creating the legacy of the world’s most valued brand was never a petrolhead in its true sense, Steve Jobs did enjoy German engineering, alongside great design which could be seen in all the products that he helped mould at Apple. This appreciation was best shown with this particular love for BMW cars and motorcycles as well as bringing the Apple branding to motorsport, although for a very short period of time. One such piece of great engineering design that the pioneer of technology once possessed was this 2000 BMW Z8 which is heading up for auction at the RM Sotheby’s New York Icons sale on December 6.
