It isn’t every day that you hear from a luxury watchmaker such as Tag Heuer announcing a new watch that has batteries in it, specially not in the Carrera line. While the company does make a few quartz models, their premium selection of racing heritage and sport heritage -inspired watches are always fitted with a mechanical heart, until now.
The company has just announced its new Tag Heuer Connected Smartwatch that gets it’s inner workings done by Intel hardware and runs on Google’s Android Wear OS. The three watch dial faces shown by the company are bespoke to the watch and very accurately define the same singautre Tag Heuer design that we have all become so accustomed of.
The casing, bezel and buckle of the watch is constructed out of light weight titanium while a vulcanized rubber strap holds the 46.2 mm wide case in place. The watch will be available currently across 50 Tag Heuer brand stores in the United States.
