This year’s edition of the Chantilly Arts & Elegance was held between September 8th and 10th. This was the fourth edition of this event which is held every year on the grounds of the Chateau de Chantilly near Paris. In this time, it has turned into one of the most prestigious Concours d’Elegance in the world. The others being Pebble Beach, Villa d’Este and Amelia Island. Over 800 of the rarest and best classic and exotic cars were on display with some manufacturers choosing to debut their stunning concepts. This included the DS 7 Crossback, the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante Zagato, The Renault Trezor, The McLaren 720S and the Citroen Cxperience.

The event had an exceptional array of vintage and classic cars up on display and vying for prizes. The cars were categorised in terms of Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, pre- and post-war Alfa Romeos decked out in special livery, a selection of models paying tribute to the Pourtout coachbuilder, the Bugatti 57S, pre-1914 cars and the cars of great musicians. A smattering of F1 cars also entertained spectators.

The high-profile Concours d’Elegance category saw the Renault Trezor and the Citroen Cxperience being crowned joint winners. The next category of Concours d’Etat saw a Bugatti 57 S Atlantic (1936) win in the pre-war segment while a Ferrari TR 58 (1958) won the post-war prize. You can see a full list of winners on the event website. There is also a third category which judged the 42 invited car clubs on the quality of their presentation.

The Chantilly Arts & Elegance is a high profile event with a strict dress code, to go with the sense of occasion the cars bring about. This year’s event was an undeniable success which saw over 16,000 visitors. This included everyone from the members of high society, car enthusiasts and families out on a day trip on the grounds of the Chateau de Chantilly near Paris.
