The Porsche Weissach Development Centre (WDC) is home to some of the legendary Porsche cars and technology every born. The Weissach Development Center has successfully delivered the Porsche 917, the Porsche Double Clutch Transmission (PDK), the all-wheel drive system for the 959 and much more. As a tribute to its brilliance over decades, Omologato has released a limited edition timepiece, The Weissach.
Crafted with similar precision and innovative technology of WDC, The Weissach has first of its kind 8 layers of IP plating to optimise the watch case which is made using stainless steel. It also comes with a Japanese Quartz Chronograph movement which is fitted impeccably in a 42mm case.
Porsche created the Weissach test track in the early 1960s and was known as ‘die Porsche Rennabteilung Weissach’. Omologato was deeply inspired by the 1970s style of racing; especially the Porsche 917 that won the 24-hours of Le Mans was a huge success of the engineers working countless hours in the WDC. The Omologato Weissach is limited to only 200 pieces and priced at £329 ($423).
