Despite icy weather and rain worthy for the beautiful English countryside, fans of old metal were present on the vast esplanade of the Château de Vincennes this Sunday morning. While it was, as usual, a fantastic time admiring the massive cavalcade of classic cars and motorcycle form the past at the 18th edition of Traversée de Paris, this year was a bit special for me. Alongside the 600 odd classic machines, all unanimously projecting yellow lights on to the streets (Yellow lights were mandatory in France for all cars till 1993), I found myself for the very first time behind the wheel of my own 1969 Mustang Mach 1. While photographing cars is as fun as driving a classic pony car through the streets of Paris, combining both is equally a bit difficult and distracting. Nevertheless, it was a pleasure to be in the middle of this happy mess as we drive through the streets and back allies of Paris. Here is a small selection of pictures from the same.
