Customised cafe racers can be best described by their performance and looks. With great performance, if a cafe racer gets that perfect blend of classic look, it becomes a definite head turner for anyone, and everyone! However, it really needs a substantial amount of experience to carve out the best from an ‘already cool’ stock motorcycle which has tonnes of fans following till almost the senior age group. Like Down & Out from Barnsley, Yorkshire which specializes in customising BMWs and Triumphs for over 15 years now. Down & Out translates people’s expectations into their builds and that is one of the reasons it is known for one of best builds in the Europe. And this customized Triumph Bonneville T100 by Down and Out is that exact translation done by Shaun who comes from chopper building experience.
This Triumph Bonneville T100 by Down and Out with a fat front end has a Continental TKC 80 on a 17 inch rim to play dirty off-road and sophisticated on tarmac as well. Along with that, a clean cockpit convoyed a customised triple clamps to hold the 2011 CBR1000RR forks, a GSXR750 master cylinder was mounted on the LSL handlebar which sat on the LSL risers, a clutch perch with D&O levers were further added to the handlebar and the stock switch was replaced with Motone mini buttons. Two off-the-shelf D&O alloy mudguards were shaped up with the help of an English wheel to cover the fat TKCs. At the back, the exhaust was finalised after a lot of search by Shaun and his co-worker Carl.
