Yamaha has released a humorous promotional video of the Yamaha YZF R3 featuring MotoGP rider Colin Edwards. Edwards plays the role of a passionate rider who struggles to find a common favorite activity to spend productive time with his wife Alyssia.

Eventually the couple find themselves in the same page when it comes to riding the new Yamaha YZF R3, conveying that the compact supersport bike can be handled by women as well.
Coming to the motorcycle, the new Yamaha YZF R3 is a derivative of the Asia-spec R25 which is being manufactured in Indonesia. The design and hardware of the R3 are closely related to its smaller sibling. It would take a keen observer to differentiate the bikes even when they are lined up side by side.
The 321 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine is claimed to develop 42 PS (41.4 hp) at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm, taking the fight straight to the door of the Kawasaki Ninja 300. The motor is mated to 6-speed transmission.
The diamond-type chassis is suspended by a telescopic fork (front) and monoshock (rear), while the wheels are retarded by a disc brake each.
